Kyle is 3 months old!

It is hard to believe, but Kyle is 3 months old. He is rolling from his back to his stomach and making many more noises. He is such a good baby! Here are a few picks - thanks for the shirt Angie.

Sorry! It's been too long...

Well since I have been back to work it has been very difficult to find the time to update the blog. So this is going to be another long one. I am going to start with the most recent.

First Day of School
The girls had their first day of school this past Monday. Kaitlyn is now in 2nd grade, still at Magnolia Elementary. This year she has Mrs. Harris. Chloe started Pre-K 4 at Eagle Heights Christian Academy. Kaitlyn was ready to go and went with no problems. Chloe on the other hand is having a hard time and has cried each morning when taken to school. She was so excited to start school, but when it came down to it she was just not so sure.

Kyle 12 Weeks

Kyle has discovered his voice and it is so cute. It just makes noise and then smiles. It is so much fun to watch. We have an official nickname for him. Drum roll please.... "Little Man". Everytime someone sees him they say "he is such a little man". So that will be his name.

Fun in the Sun

Dan's niece Megan went to church with us on Sunday and then came over afterwards to play on the waterslide. Harley was watching them by sticking his head out the doggie door.

Johnny Jump Up

Kyle got a johnny jump up. He is not quite sure what to think of it yet, but I had to post these pictures because they are so cute!!!

Crazy Chloe and her Babies

Chloe loves to play with her babies. She falls asleep with them and in the picture with the stroller just how many she has.

Kyle 11 Weeks

Kyle is sleeping 7-9 hours at night which is great for me. He is changing so much.

A Lot to Say!

Okay so this is a very long post, but I have not posted in a while and what can I say except that there is a lot to say!
Big Boy
Kyle is 10 weeks old today. He went to the doctor on Wednesday for his 2 month check-up and 3 shots! Yuck! He has gained 5 pounds and grown 4 inches. Now weighing in at 11 pounds 9 ounces and he is 22 1/2 inches long. He is showing his very cute smile and he has discovered his hands!

Cute Conversations
#1
Me: "Chloe what are you doing?"
Chloe: "Pumping my dots" (visual: Chloe in the back seat with her shirt up pinching her dots (boobs)). I guess she has been watching me a little too much!

#2
Me: "Girls, don't touch it!"
Girls: But it's squishy. (Visual: The girls in the bathtub with Kyle and discovering his "pee pee" is "squishy") We had a long conversation about how we do NOT touch others private areas.
#3
We were over at my Nana's house visiting while Dan mowed her yard. The girls decided to go play.
Kaitlyn: "Let's go play school."
Chloe: "Okay"
Kaitlyn: "I call teacher"
Chloe: "I call kid"
So funny, then about 15 minutes later Chloe came out looking like this:

Chuck E Cheese
Today is the last day that I will be off with the kids before returning to work on Monday. So I wanted to take the girls to do something fun. Originally we had planned on trying to go to the wave pool with Angie and Luke, but Luke and Brady have the flu so the decision was made to do something different. So we went to Chuck E Cheese. The girls had a blast. They had a new horse ride that the girls really enjoyed. I forgot my camera, but I took a few with my phone.

Crazy Dogs
While we were at Chuck E Cheese it began to rain, so we decided to kill a little time at Ross. I purchased the dogs a new food and water bowl set and it came with some treats for the dogs. Included in the set were 3 rawhide bones, a rope and a ball. We gave them all to the dogs and this is what happened:

Harley and Roxy fighting over the same bone

The other bone and the ball about 2 feet away.

Photo shoot with Katie Little of Deliberately Chic Photography
A few weeks ago we went to Hermann Park and a friend of ours Katie Little took some photos. The idea was to get newborn pictures of Kyle by himself and then some with the girls and then some 4 year old pictures of Chloe. Kyle was not very cooperative. We only got one shot of the 3 of them when he was not screaming his head off. He really did not lay like a newborn because he was already 6 weeks old. When we laid him on his stomach he would lift his head up and he almost rolled off one of the props and he would not go to sleep at all. So it did not turn out as planned, but here are a few of my favorites that we were able to get.
Chloe in hiding
Chloe decided to hide in the laundry hamper to surprise my Mom when she came over. She ended up falling over while she was in it and bumping her head on the wall. I will try to post pictures of this later.

Busy week

Well we had VBS this past week and even though it was a very busy week it was well worth it to see kids learning more about Christ and worshiping Him. The girls had a blast. Dan took pictures and I helped with registration.

Kyle is 9 weeks old. He is starting to make new noises and staying awake longer than in the past weeks. He is sleeping about 6 1/2 hours at night which is nice. I just need to make myself go to bed when he does so that I get 6 1/2 hours of sleep as well. I am still running. It is a lot harder to get back into it than I thought, but it is coming along.
