Kaitlyn's Teeth

Well Kaitlyn is on Spring Break and she had the unfortunate luck of having to have two teeth pulled today. About 6-8 weeks ago she told me that she had something in her gums so I looked behind her front bottom teeth and sure enough there were her "big" teeth coming in behind her baby teeth which were not loose. So today was the big day. She was so excited! Which was good because I was afraid she was going to be really nervous. She went in and they gave her a little "funny gas", numbed her up and yanked those babies right out. They said she was the perfect patient. She cannot wait to see what the tooth fairy has for her.

Cute Conversations

Last Chloe was just driving me a little bit crazy! So Dan decided to talk to her about it. Here is how it went:

Daddy: "Chloe you have been pushing Mommy's buttons all night"
Chloe: "What buttons?"

I was in the other room cracking up.

Family Baby Shower - 3/21/09

My Nana threw me a family baby shower this past Saturday. It was for the whole family. We had a cookout in the backyard with hamburgers, hotdogs, croquet, horseshoes and lots of fun! It was great to get to see my Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Sarah who we do not see very often. We all had a great time visiting and telling crazy stories. It was so nice having mine and Dan's family all together. Here are some pictures from the fun.

McManner Man Awards Breakfast - 3/20/09

Kaitlyn was honored to be a part of the McManner Man Breakfast at Magnolia Elementary this past Friday. A McManner Man award is given to students when they are caught doing something good or what they are supposed to be doing without being asked. These awards are put into Mr. Bob McManner Man (the big blue M & M) and then every 9 weeks they draw a certain number to participate in the breakfast. Here are a few pictures from the "ceremony".

Waiting for everything to start.

Receiving her award from Mrs. Clowers. They had to shake hands and receive it as if they were receiving their diploma. (Mrs. Gifford's says she wants them to practice.)

Kaitlyn with Mr. Bob McManner Man (the kids named him).

Dan rode bikes to school with Kaitlyn as well on this day which is a treat that Kaitlyn loves. This is them coming home at the end of the day.

Dan's Unique Tan

Dan wore a visor to work one day this past week and did not have sunscreen on and this is the result:
He now looks like he has a permanent beanie on! Very attractive. :0)

Random Update

Well I have not updated in a while and so I thought I would just post some pictures of the last month.

Dan's Birthday Get Together
First here are some pictures of Dan's little birthday party. We played pin the tail on the donkey (yes, it was Dan's idea). Then cake and ice cream. My mom decided to make a cake with chili peppers and cactus on it just to practice a new idea.

Go Texan Day
Kaitlyn was all decked out in her boots, jeans and hat for Go Texan Day!

Crazy Chloe

Chloe has been sleeping on a pallet next to our bed for a while because she refuses to sleep in her bed and I just am too tired to fight it right now. She says that she will sleep in her bed when Kyle gets here, but I think I have convinced her to start practicing since he will be here before we know it. In the picture above she decided to bring ALL of her baby dolls to bed with her. She slept in the middle of them all night.

She has learned this habit from her Daddy!

She refused to go to sleep the other night without her new shoes on! I tell she is crazy!

Funny Conversations and Sleep Walking

Funny Conversations
Dan: Chloe quit being so loud
Chloe: But I'm loud
Dan: I know, but you don't have to always talk so loud
Chloe: But thats how Jesus made me talk

later the same evening...
Chloe: Mommy are monsters and thunder coming? (she asks me every night at bedtime)
Katie: No Chloe, no monsters or thunder
Chloe: What about God and Jesus?

Sleep Walking
Kaitlyn came in to our room last night at 11:45. I said Kaitlyn what are you doing? She said I don't know. I continued to ask her what she was doing as she stepped on Chloe and she got mad and stormed out of the room. I followed her to her bed and she was crawling in. I said, is something wrong? She screamed "I don't know", closed her eyes and that was it. When I asked her about it this morning she had absolutely no recollection. I really hope this is not going to happen on a regular basis!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Thank goodness it is almost Friday!
