Pray for Me Today

Please pray for me today. I don't know exactly what for, but I just don't feel good today. I cannot put my finger on it, but I just don't feel right. So just pray that I feel better and that everything is okay with Mr. Kyle. He is moving around and everything, but like I said I just don't feel right. I know that God knows exactly what I need and how I am feeling and He can fix it and will answer the prayers of His people. Thanks for the prayers and I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday Dan! and please pray for Health

First of all Happy Birthday Dan! Today is Dan's birthday and it has been a lousy day so far unfortunately. We had a family get together at our house last night for cake and ice cream. We even had pin the tail on the donkey. ( I will post pictures later)

So Kaitlyn had the flu Jan 25th thru the 30th and then bronchitis the week after that. Then like clock work Chloe started running fever exactly 2 weeks later on Feb. 9th and she was diagnosed with the flu and was down for a whole week. So last week we were all good and everyone was feeling great. Guess what? Two weeks to the day of Chloe's start of the flu, Kaitlyn is now at home with 103 fever and feeling lousy. So far (knock on wood), Dan and I have not gotten sick. I do have a runny nose and headache so I am really hoping it is just sinuses. Please just pray that Kaitlyn will feel better very soon and that the rest of us can stay healthy! Thanks for the prayers and I will post pictures from last night when I get home.

Kyle Reed Crockett

Well I finally had my mom scan one of Kyle's ultrasound picture. This is from my 18 week ultrasound when we found out he was a boy. We are so excited that he is on his way. Chloe talks to him through my belly button every night and says she wants to hold him as soon as he comes out. Kaitlyn is excited, but I think because this is her second go at being a big sister it is not quite as exciting. We got Kyle's bed and dresser today. It is the same bed that Chloe used. We had loaned the furniture to our good friends Caleb and Angie back when we thought our family was complete. They were so nice when we called and told them the news (Brady was only about 7 weeks old at the time). Well anyway enough gabbing, here is Kyle's picture. It is his profile and you can see his little hands.

Music and Glasses

Music

Kaitlyn has been wanting an "IPOD". So on Friday, Dan took her to Wachovia where she has a bank account and she withdrew $45. He took her to Walmart and they bought an MP3 player. She thinks it is an IPOD and she loves it. Then Chloe wanted to listen to music so we found an MP3 player that we already had and loaded it with some of her favorite songs. Here are a few pictures of our girls listening to their music.

Glasses

Kaitlyn has been telling us "when I read I see three of the same word". She also complains of headaches quite frequently at the end of the day. So we took her to the eye doctor and sure enough she needs glasses. So today we went to Lens Crafters and she got her first pair of glasses. We let her choose the frames and case so that hopefully she will take good care of them and not mind wearing them. So far she likes them and she looks very cute. Here is a picture:

Another Funny

Sorry guys, but today has been a funny day for Chloe. Earlier this evening we went for a walk and Chloe said she wanted to race. So we jogged with her a little bit. She loved it and she is actually pretty fast. Later this evening she asked me to do something and I told her not right now and she said "Fine, I am not going to be your running friend. Bye." and she got on her little car with her keys and rode out of the room. I just thought it was funny that she called me her running friend.

Cute Conversations

Well I had started to do Kaitlyn's Quotes of the Day because she usually has the funny ones, but Chloe is starting to be quite funny herself. So I think I will tag onto Angie's idea of cute conversations because they come regularly. So here is today's cute conversation:

Mommy: "So if we buy Ariel sheets you will start sleeping in your bed?" (right now Chloe sleeps on a pallet next to my bed)
Chloe: " I will sleep in my bed when the baby gets here."
Mommy: "So we should buy Ariel sheets when the baby gets here and you will sleep in your bed"
Chloe: "Right" (very matter of factly)

Another one:

Chloe: "Daddy, why do boys stand up to pee?"
Daddy: "Go ask Mommy."

How do you explain that to a 3 year old?

Hope you enjoyed our cute conversations for today. I am sure that there will be more to come.

Kaitlyn's Funny Quote of the Day!

As you will find out if you read this blog for any length of time, Kaitlyn is very amusing even when she is not trying. Here is her funny quote of the day.

We pulled into Walmart for Dan to run in and exchange something. Chloe knows that there is a McDonald's inside and she loves McDonald's.

Kaitlyn said "No Chloe, you are not getting McDonald's." Chloe had not even mentioned McDonald's. I said "Kaitlyn why did you even bring that up?" She said "she was about to ask." I said "How do you know?" and she said "I can read minds." I said "Oh really?!" She said "Yes I can, you are about to spank me." (with a very big smile on her face). So now she thinks she is a mind reader!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today we woke up and had heart shaped pancakes then we ran some errands. Tonight Grammie came over to watch the girls and Dan and I went out to eat and to the movies. Here are a few Valentine pictures. Chloe crashed this afternoon while watching her new Dora movie.

Here we go!

Well I have been told by several people (esp. Angie and Kristen) that I just have to start a blog so here it goes.

We are the Crockett's. Dan and I have been married for about 8 1/2 years and have two
beautiful little girls. We were told in 2001 that we would not be able to have children.

Kaitlyn was adopted in September of 2003 (just before her second birthday). She has be
en such a blessing and is so smart that at times it is scary!

Then God showed us His awesome ways in October 2004 when we found out we were expecting. God knows infinitely better than even the best fertility doctor who can have children and He once again proved the medical community wrong.

Another thing about our awesome God is His perfect timing. Had we conceived earlier in our marriage we would never have had the pleasure of being parents to Kaitlyn because her adoption would not have happened.

Chloe was born on June 15, 2005 and is such a love bug. She loves to snuggle, read and do puzzles!

So, we were done right. Wrong! God revealed His will to us once again when we found in October of 2008 that we are expecting again. After the shock wore off and we decided that God knows better than we do about what we can handle we are very excited. Then we found out in January that It's a Boy! which makes it even that much more exciting. Kyle is due June 12th and we could not be happier to have a boy joining the family.

Well there is my first ever post. I will post more pictures when I get the hang of this a little better. Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!
